Friends of the Woods is on a mission to improve life at University Woods. Unfortunately, we can't accomplish our mission on tree branches alone. Below are a few ways you can be a part of the movement happening at University Woods. It won't only make the park happy, it will make you happy as well. Thanks for your support.

VOLUNTEER

University Woods is a 3.4 acre park that has room for a lot of Friends. The more hands we have interested in Saving the Woods, the more we can accomplish. Check out our calendar and see how you can help. We need all the help we can get so remember any support is appreciated.

TELL A FRIEND

Word of mouth is the best way to get the word out. The more people who know about Friends of the Woods-- the better. Feel free to send this message to your friends to see if they would be interested in becoming ours:

Friends of the Woods is a 501(c)3 organization via the sponsorship of City Parks Foundation. All money donated to our group is fully tax deductible and will be applied directly to the program/ restoration project of your choice. Please send donations to:

Include with the donation the following information:

a) the exact purpose for which the donation is to be used, i.e. general support, a specific project, etc.

b) a project completion date (when you would like the funds to be used by); and

c) that the funds are freely given by the donor, and intended as a donation.

SHOP

All proceeds from the Friends of the Woods shop are used to improve the conditions of University Woods. Take a look at our shop as there is something for everyone. Feel free to request an item and we will do our best to get it in the store.

Friends of the Woods is a 501(c)3 organization through the sponsorship of City Parks Foundation (CPF). Contribution made to CPF and earmarked for Friends of the Woods are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
